Construction material is used in large quantities to edit Radio Tower Base, Long Range Scanner and Modular Storage Tank Base among several other large structures. Players can do this by equipping the Modular Building Planner while looking at any of the buildings found inside the "Buildings" category of the crafting menu

Notes
Construction materials should not be stored in regular Storage containers as they have very low stack sizes and instead should be placed inside a Construction Warehouse as they will stack to 25,000 items here additional this is the only way they can be accessed by Transport Ship Port for use in construction of modular buildings. Please note that a Construction Ship Port is also required for this as the Transport Ship Port will only deliver this item to the modular building site but the Construction Ship Port is responsible for building it.
